Well the Governor General upon the announcement of the visit of Mr. Obama to Canada made the following perplexing admonishing statement to all willing to listen:

«Il faut avoir ce sentiment de responsabilité citoyenne», a exhorté Michaëlle Jean s’adressant à un groupe de jeunes à qui elle conseille d'agir dans leur communauté, dans leur quartier, dans leur pays.
Perplexing not only to me but to everyone that has refused for the past so many years to feed on the horse fodder served by the Canadian media and especially television.
Mme Jean reassures us that paramount in her life was to contribute to society and to the common good. Well suspending the function of the Canadian Parliament for more than a month so as to save the ass of a failed prime minister, contributes to which society and to which common good? It certainly contributed to the aims of the group of sponsors that benefit from the premiership of Mr. Harper. Who cares about the multiple damage done to the Canadian society!
It is a shame Mme. Jean! And leave aside the parlance about responsible citizenship and all that crap!
