-The French revolution and the enlightenment that preceded it, have given us the answers to all the questions concerning humanism. Education with a liberal humanitarian curriculum is what is missing from the north American culture.
-Religiosity is successfully transmitted to children only if it is imposed through tales before the age of five. That's why indoctrination in the Jewish, the Christian and the Mohammedan religion starts with the beginning if speech.
-1.000 German soldiers were executed for treason in Agia, Chania, during the German occupation of 1941-1945! An extreme measure taken only for reasons of intimidating the other soldiers. The number of Germans stationed in the area of Chania never exceeded 25.000 soldiers.
-Soldiers in today's army of the USA enlist because they do not see any other prospects in their lives. Some of them are newly weds with crushing obligations. If they don't join the army they run the risk of being marginalized.
-Soldiers obey not because they've been tought to obey, or that in their superiors they see their fathers, but because they want to pass through that stage in their lives with the least of friction and tribulation.
-In adolescence most of the unfounded admiration and a large part of the loyalty to one's parents is questioned and finally shelved as unwarranted. Regional and historical circumstances determine the degree to which a person admits to himself and reveals to others his specific disillusionments.
-Barring the abnormal psychopathic cases, people are aware of their childhood traumas and manage to live with them.
